Sitting Posture

The spine has two natural curvatures, lordotic (inward) and kyphotic (outward) curves. Good posture involves maintaining this natural curvature, so that the rest of the body can be supported correctly and operate at its optimal level.

To practice good sitting posture, keep these key points in mind:

1. Sit upright on your sit bones, at the back of the chair
2. Position your shoulders over your hips

3. Knees and feet hip width apart

4. Plane of face vertical. Imagine a headrest behind you: your head should only be a couple of cm before it.
